I design and develop learning environments for learning communities in which learners are able to experiment and exchange insights, develop their own perspectives and produce their very own content.

To do this, I get to know my learners and help them to reach their goals, both, the learning objectives, and individual goals.

Empowerment
When people learn, they gain new self confidence and power. I want help them reach their goals. The right technology empowers students in communication and collaboration just as well as the right content.

Active Learning
What people have in common is learning. „To learn“ is a broad and general term for a great number of more specific activities, like „to write“ is less specific than „to paraphrase“ or „to compare“. To learn means to execute and combine more specific activities, to find an individual path through a bunch of possibilities.

Human centered design
In my web environments the learner is the most important actor. Learners exchange content and discuss topics, create new content. In different roles, we constantly learn from each other.

Diversity
People are different, they learn in different ways. Each situation deserves a special and adequate setting for learning activities.

Keep it simple
To create simple tools for a complex process as learning is, is challenging. One way is to know your learners, the way they communicate and create and integrate their needs in the digital environment. To simplify without suppressing complexity: This is what I look for every day.
